In this episode, I spoke with sports and success mindset coach, Justin Tsui. After coaching for 15 years and teaching for 20 years in physical education, he now wants to create a deeper impact in education as a whole from outside the school system. He’s now working with students and athletes in helping them answer the question for themselves, “What is it that you really want? How do you actually want to spend your time?”
We talked about:
How a trip to the hospital changed his life
Thought he was focused on what I want, but was really playing by other people's rules instead
Developing the emotional muscles through self-awareness
Combining physical alpha mentality with emotional frameworks
Emotional Intelligence can't be taught, it has to be experienced
Emotional Intelligence is learning to trust yourself
The winners in life make decisions quickly
